Frequently asked questions

frequently asked questionS

Circumstance & Design is my studio based in New York City. As an architect and filmmaker, my work includes the design of spaces often combined with films to communicate the ideas more effectively.

What kinds of projects do you design?

I have been involved in many types of architectural, urban design, and interior design projects. My focus now is on reuse and finding creative ways to make the most of what we already have. Please see the Work section on the website as well as the list of some projects for other firms in my About page.

Why is filmmaking a part of your work?

Films are an engaging way to tell our stories and reach a wider audience. With the combination of images, words, and music, these stories can say more and touch our emotions.

Are you open to collaboration?

Working independently allows me to stay true to my vision, but I love to collaborate with others to create projects at any scale. I’m open to working together to make something with limited resources that has lasting impact.

Where do you teach?

I teach a third year architecture design studio at the New York City of Technology and a class in sustainability at the New York School of Interior Design.

Where are you located?

Based in New York City and available to think about projects worldwide.
